Department Overview:
The Financial Markets landscape is changing rapidly due to intensified regulatory requirements.
The foundations of a modern Financial Markets business are based on 4 important cornerstones (clients, data, connectivity and innovation). These cornerstones are important key areas, where ING aims to build a strong framework for the future.
The data analytics team are form part of one of these cornerstones in providing analytics to visualise and extract business critical information from large datasets in Financial Markets.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
The main duties in this role will be to develop reports and real-time dashboards for the evaluation of trading behaviour, client activity, market performance and risk. Highlighting key metrics for each desk to help sales and trading evaluate performance quickly and efficiently.
Candidate Profile
Qualification/Education
- Numerical background - Maths, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience dealing with large datasets
- Good understanding of financial products
- Strong development skills (Python)
- Experience with dashboards/data visualisation tools (Grafana/Plotly)
- Experience in a front office environment
- Good understanding of KDB
Experience/Knowledge
Essential: 3+ years in a data driven role.
Desirable: 3+ years’ experience in a front office environment
