Job Description :

Our client is one of the leading property services providers in the South and Southeast. They are a family run business with over 60 years of experience within the public sector. This reputable and valued company specialise in roofing, responsive repairs/refurbishments within the property industry.

Due to acquiring a five-year framework, they are expanding their team and need a Quantity Surveyor to join their successful business.

Overview

· Surveys all types of property for roof replacement and repair works.

· Measure & calculate rates for estimating, labour targeting, and finalising work values.

· Monitor & control cost information and prepare valuations to advise on profit performance of contract and ensure prompt payment.

· Manage contract to achieve contented productive workforce, minimised cost, satisfied customers, maximised added value & profit.

Main Responsibilities

· Measure & estimate accurately & efficiently;

· Control cost & maximise value;

· Mitigate risk using correct contractual procedures;

· Produce accurate monthly valuations on time;

· Access, value, and process labour & subcontractor payments, resolving any disputes promptly;

· Manage workforce and client for the contract;

· Achieve best cashflow and variance Analysis;

· Produce Monthly CVR’s;

· Report on opportunities, risk, and performance of each contract

Knowledge and Experience

A minimum of 5yrs experience in a QS role. Prior roofing experience is essential.

Personal attributes and skills

Numeracy and Literacy, commitment to role, self-confidence and motivation, ability to think logically and analytically. Effective communication skills.

Qualifications Required

BSc Degree Qualified is preferable, but not essential

Salary / Benefits

Up to £70k (depending on experience) + car allowance

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £40,000.00-£70,000.00 per year

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • surveying: 4 years (preferred)

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
