Quantity Surveyor - Graduate/Junior

My client is a provider of Building Services & Construction, a specialist in the provision of tailored and bespoke technical services that incorporates both maintenance and projects, serving a varied, blue-chip client portfolio to include (not limited to) Heath, Local Authority & Private Sector clients respectively.

The Quantity Surveyor will be involved in a wide-ranging project portfolio of works that will typically include (not limited to) flooring installation i.e. concrete.

Overview of key duties and responsibilities (Not an exhaustive list)

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Ensuring adherence to Schedule of Rates
  • Undertaking cost analysis for Project Works
  • Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
  • Performing Risk, Value Management & Cost Control
  • Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
  • Allocating work to Sub-contractors
  • Providing advice on contractual claims
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments

*Please Note*

This position would suit a Quantity Surveyor that possesses approx. 3 - 4 years of experience having gained that built environment knowledge but is also wanting to progress and further his/her knowledge base as further training/development is available for the successful candidate

*Candidate Requirements*

  • Qualified within Quantity Surveying preferably to Degree and/or Further Education level
  • Quantity Surveying experience gained within a Regional/Main Contractor environment be that Construction, M&E, Civil Engineering
  • Built sector environment experience i.e. D&B, M&E
  • This position is a mixture of both office and site based so some travel will be required.

Salary & Package Information

  • £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
  • Benefits Package
  • Hours of work: 0800 - 1700
  • 25 days holiday plus statutory days
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
