Job Description :

We are looking for a Regional Operations Manager for future positions at Avanti West Coast. The Regional Operations Manager role is a leadership role in which you will be responsible for a team of Driver Managers and Drivers, potentially across multiple depots. Leading your Driver Management team from the front, you will formulate their continuous development to ensure an industry-leading capability. You will assign and monitor objectives that are in line with the strategic improvement of the operational railway.
You will develop plans to identify and resolve safety and performance operational risk and opportunities, working collaboratively with appropriate internal and external teams to do so and directing their local teams for delivery. Working closely with the Performance & Train Services teams, you will learn from previous incidents and lead on delivery of actions from Incident Learning Reviews. You will direct your teams to achieve compliance in operational standards, RM3 for Safety and Performance, Performance Improvement Management Systems (PIMS), implement high level Network Performance Board strategies, achieving `Time to 3¿ performance targets, and other relevant policies.
Working with your team of Driver Managers, you will formulate and deliver training plans for new routes, traction, signalling and equipment to ensure the delivery of forthcoming timetables. You will work closely with Train Planning and Train Services teams and Network Rail to ensure that our response to engineering work is operationally robust and minimises disruption to customers.
