EthosEnergy Accessories & Components is recruiting for a Repair Engineer to form part of a close-knit engineering team supporting the repair and overhaul of gas turbine components and accessories. The engineering team deliver product excellence whilst meeting the key business objectives of safety, quality and cost as well as perform production support and new product introduction (NPI) engineering duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and develop new overhaul procedures based on available technical data, re-engineering, engine operation, new design, customer requirements and standard procedures.
  • Develop repair schemes using various workshop practices and develop suite of supporting documents.
  • Special tool and test apparatus development, procurement and /or construction.
  • Re-engineering of required replacement details and/or parts consumed in the developed repair/overhaul process for gas turbine accessories and components
  • Continual improvement of products and work shop processes to optimise on Safety, Quality, Cost & Service Excellence.
  • Assist in training of shop floor personnel against developed processes.
  • Maintain good communications with internal/external customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Work in conjunction with Quality Manager, Engineering Manager and Team Leaders to develop and manage effective lean solutions.
  • Other duties as required by the Facility Operations Manager


Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Proficient in the application of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to foster working relationships with people at all levels within the organisation.
  • CAD Experience. Autodesk Inventor or Siemens NX preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Quick learner with the drive to progress their engineering career.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive process change.
  • Gas turbine knowledge beneficial
  • Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office software.


Experience

  • Experience in a repair environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, industrial rotating equipment and electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in work shop operations preferred.
  • Experience in the application of CAA Regulations beneficial.


Education Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a mechanical engineering discipline, preferably in a gas turbine environment.


Physical Requirements

  • Position will be based in Dyce, Aberdeen workshop/office.
