Reporting Analyst:
Join the MI and Reporting team and help us to provide visibility and clarity of our operations to the business. We work closely with our operational partners to develop our understanding of their reporting processes, provide assurance of their reporting and integrate their data in to internal reporting. We strive to provide first class service that supports the business in decision making and enables the business to respond to events.
We are looking for professionals who have a passion for driving improvement in reporting and data, and are motivated by the challenge of understanding the detail in our data. You should apply if you are thrive on collaborating with others to explore the nuances within data, and enjoy presenting and documenting the detail in a plain and relatable style. You will need effective technical skills to manipulate data in order to perform analysis, and to build the necessary tools to visualise the outcomes.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Verify the integrity and quality of our partners’ MI
  • Develop and implement Power BI reporting to provide visibility of our data controls
  • Document partners’ MI, reporting and data definitions
  • Initiate corrective actions to resolve data quality issues
  • Source, transform and analyse data to provide reporting capability
  • Develop and implement Power BI reporting to present a full informative view of the business area’s operations
  • Continuously improve our BI capability by linking and enriching our wide array data sets
  • Collaborate within the wider team to develop the availability of our data to support reporting
  • Collaborate with teams across M&G to develop our data into meaningful insights
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential
  • Good working knowledge of SQL
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Ability to present complex data into meaningful, actionable information
  • Willingness to take ownership and accountability
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Desirable
  • Good working knowledge of Power BI
  • Experience of analysing and assessing data quality and implementing controls
  • Application of agile methodologies
  • Experience in financial sector
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar
