About the role

The Research Data Analyst is a pivotal post within the IOE’s Research Development team operating across the areas of research evaluation, metrics and intelligence. The role requires a high level of data management, analysis and reporting expertise; the ability to manage a complex workload, take initiative and work closely with both academic and professional services colleagues within IOE and the UCL Office of the Vice Provost Research, Innovation and Global Engagement (OVPRIGE). The appointee will enhance and maintain the quality of IOE research performance data, provide regular and on-demand data insights and analysis, manage the IOE Faculty-level peer review of research bids, and provide key support for IOE preparations for Research Excellence Framework exercises. In addition, the role-holder will support the wider activities of the Research Development team and Faculty as required.

About you

You will have relevant professional experience or a first degree or equivalent experience and experience of gathering, cleaning and analysing data of varying quality from various and complex sources. Knowledge of research and the UK Higher Education environment, including the Research Excellence Framework is desirable.
