We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to be part of a great community of digital builders, delivering our global digital consumer experiences!

Job Description

Our Senior Data Engineer will be based in either Copenhagen, Billund or Budapest and will be part of a great community of digital builders responsible for enabling product teams across the entire LEGO Group to make data driven decisions through our Core Data Platform.

Our product team operates in three locations, Copenhagen, Billund and Budapest and serve internal customers globally. We work in a flexible, hybrid working model and have lots of fun in and around the office.

Core Responsibilities

  • As part of Data Enablement, you help other product teams adapt best practices while using our shared Data Platform to develop top class Primary Data Products
  • Help establish standards, best practices when ingesting and publishing data
  • As a Senior Engineer, you excel at enabling your teammates to learn on the job each day and inspire our junior members in the team

You enjoy taking responsibility of technical workstreams and PoCs

  • Being a collaborative person by nature who wants to be a part of a global multi-functional team, enabling digital product teams to make data driven decisions

Our product team, Primary Data Product Enablement is part of the Data Enablement organization, owning enabling activities for our Core Data Platform. Together with our sister teams we enable all colleagues in the LEGO Group through setting guidelines, establishing best practices and conducting training and coaching sessions, while maintaining decentralized ownership of data products and promoting self-service solutions.

Do you have what it takes?

You have a proven passion for data as well demonstrable experience as a Cloud Data Engineer using Python, SQL, Databricks or similar. Additionally, you'd have:

  • Confidence in working with Cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
  • A DevOps centered mind-set centered around security, scalability and automation
  • Experience with creating, maintaining and automating ETL pipelines
  • Experience and passion for co-creation and enabling others
  • Verbal and written fluency in English with an Agile mentality
