We have a new opportunity to join our team on a part time basis as a security officer. This will working for a well known industrial site based in Hereford. The role is to provide additional patrols during the night, supporting your colleague within the gatehouse and looking out for any suspicious activity.

Please note there will be additional hours available to provide holiday/sickness cover which would include working days and nights.

Your daily work will help protect our client’s site, property and valuable assets, resulting in a very satisfying role with significant potential.

You will be the ambassadors for our client; one of the first people that visitors, students, and staff see on arrival, setting the tone and ensuring a safe and secure environment.

This will be a 4 on 4 off rota pattern, the shift times are 2100 - 0500.

Rate/Salary: £10.45 per hour based on average 28 hours per week (equivalent to £15,257 annually) Rate will increase in April 2023.

There will also be an option to take on additional duties which may result in more hours. This will be to cover holidays, unforeseen sickness and also the Gatehouse role on site.

Some of the duties will include:

· Undertaking patrols and inspections in accordance to the site specific assignment instructions

· Monitoring perimeter fence lines

· Performing lock and unlock duties

· Ensuring no unauthorised persons access sites

· Maintaining that all incidents are logged and reported to the control room

· Ensuring Health and Safety polices are adhered to

· Covering gatehouse duties including access control and CCTV monitoring

Security officer requirements:

· Valid Frontline SIA Licence

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

· Computer literacy is essential for covering gatehouse

· 5 year+ checkable work history in line with BS 7858

· Smart and presentable portraying a professional image

· Ability to write clear and concise reports

· Excellent time management skills

· A dynamic decision maker
