Position: Security Officer

Salary: £9.50 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
Hours per week: Permanent, 48 hours per week. 4 shifts per week, Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday at 18:00-6:00. With the potential for this to change to 4 on 4 off.
Location: Dewsbury

Job Purpose

· To deliver contractual obligations in accordance with client expectations.

· Working as a team towards specified KPI targets.

· To be proactive & reactive to the Health, Safety & Security of the site & all personnel

Accountabilities

· Regular communication with the Client and Key Account Manager to guarantee smooth operation of the contract delivery.

· Ensure understanding & adhere to client & company policies & procedures.

· To keep all mandatory training requirements current.

· Respond effectively to Emergencies as per Dow policies and procedures

· Remain compliant with specific Dow ER policies, procedures, and responses

· To complete vehicle/personnel searches & site patrols, reporting all findings.

· To ensure site personnel / visitors, contractors, delivery drivers are adhering to site rules & to escalate if required.

· Record and Report driver non compliances with PPE and Contraband policies.

· Report data for KPI reporting

· To remedy or escalate and gaps noticed within the site security.

· Provide cover (when available) for any operational gaps to maintain contract delivery.

· To provide innovations in a view of continually improving the standard of service.

· Have complete understanding of guidelines set out in the MSS Group Company Handbook.

· To conduct yourself in a professional & helpful manner.

· To prioritise current tasks and workload effectively.

· To respond to reasonable requests from the client in a professional and timely manner.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Retain a valid Frontline SIA licence – 100%

· Monthly Dow Safety Meeting content awareness – 100%

· Adhere to Risk Assessments & PPE requirements – 100%

· Operate in compliance with Dow Risk Control Procedures – 100%

· Working as part of a team

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• 5 years security background is essential

• A valid SIA Licence

• Health & Safety awareness

• Proficient with computer skills

• Issue resolution in a professional manner

• Systematic record keeping and attention to detail

• Strong and respected team member

• Continuous improvement mind set

• Effective decision maker & communicator

• Ability to work as part of a team and also to work autonomously

• Effective problem-solving skills

• Remaining clam in high pressured situations
