What you’ll do:

  • Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols

  • Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems

  • Act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting

  • Log and transfer calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff

  • To carry out regular patrols throughout the shift

  • Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities

  • Excellent communication and awareness skills

  • Experience in working in a similar role

  • Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures

Main Responsibilities
  • Operationally deliver service to the agreed site service levels.
  • Ensure all training requirements are completed and protocols adhered to
  • Ensure compliance with all H&S training and actively engage in pro-active safety measures to include active identification and reporting of any Health and Safety hazards or mechanical fault/failures noted.
  • Comply with all duty activities and requirements as set out in Site Assignment Instruction
  • Work closely with colleagues to foster good teamwork and ensure effective communication at handover
  • Ensure all key issues/requirements are noted on handover documents for oncoming Officer shifts
  • Ensure completion of all appropriate daily documents to include key registers, contractor/employee attendance records and other, as required by the business.
  • Operate CCTV systems to include reviewing of active imagery, and downloading, saving and distributing only in line with GDPR regulation
  • Process access cards in line with client requirement and in compliance with site security protocols
  • Ensure effective communication via email with clients regarding access badge requests
  • Ensure effective communication and timely response to all other client email requests and queries
  • Ensure effective access control in line with local Security Standards
  • Support all audit requirements in line with Security Manager requests
  • Comply with all reasonable management requests within scope of service provision
  • Respond to any site related incidents and ensure completion of appropriate Incidents reports, and compliance with escalation processes

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • SIA Security Manned Guarding License
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Fair standard of computer literacy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff at all levels
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well with Team Members
  • Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative
  • Flexible approach to role
  • A 'Can do' attitude

Desirable

  • Previous Security experience preferred
  • Experience of working in a Corporate Environment preferred
