Senior Graphic Designer (12 month Maternity Cover) - Devon

About you:

We are looking for someone with experience as a senior designer or potentially a strong designer looking for the next step up into a Senior Designer role. You will have a solid knowledge of design for a variety of requirements across print and digital, as well as excellent organisational skills.

About this role:

Reporting to our Head of Design this 12-month fixed-term role is focussed on business as usual and Tier 1 campaigns. You will be able to create fresh approaches to key campaigns as well as output quality BAU materials across print and digital. One of our current aims is to increase the quality of our digital and social ads, so a knowledge of motion graphics is important.

At times you will be required to support with project management and the multiple streams of work coming through the internal content agency, so being highly organised and good under pressure is a must.

About your key responsibilities:

  • Supporting Head of Design in creation and rollout of:Tier 1 Campaign creative direction and assets

Seasonal templates/creative direction
Seasonal design asset libraries

  • Digital design leadEmail

Digital / social ads – motion graphics/video/gif and static ads.
Web UX/CX

  • Print design leadPOS

Packaging
Direct Mail
Brochures
Print production management – paper stock and working with print house

About your skills and knowledge:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in a similar role where you have formed a solid foundation within:

Graphic Design

Digital Design

Motion graphics

Print production management

Creative Campaign design

Project management

Have a real eye for detail

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise and multi-task and handle time-sensitive deadlines in a complex, fast-paced, with multiple streams of output.
  • Ability to support with project management of workloads coming through the internal content agency.
  • Able to think logically and creatively to put your ideas together practically
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal with the ability to create and manage communication content for multiple audiences
  • Confidence with tech and an excellent understanding of Adobe CC as well as Microsoft Office
  • Proactive self-starter who can manage a complex workload.
  • A creative proactive problem solver
  • Builds effective and open relationships with all members of the Nkuku team
  • Ability to work collaboratively, leveraging cross functional buy-in to getting goals achieved.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, under pressure, all with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to embrace a more relaxed environment, without relaxing the standards.
  • Whilst this is a hybrid role, you will need the ability to work at least 2 days a week from our offices in Totnes
