We are looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant who is compassionate and driven to make a difference to patients and their families at a difficult time in their lives. The Hospice night-sitting service provides respite care for patients and their carers within their own home, giving families the chance to sleep, recharge and provide support.

The ideal candidate will have community experience providing nursing care for patients with palliative and end of life care needs.

Hospice at Home serves the whole of North Lancashire, South Lakeland, Cumbria and includes parts of North Yorkshire, and visits may be anywhere in this catchment area. It is essential you hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle during working hours.

• Location: St John's Hospice, Lancaster
• Hours: Up to36 per week (4 nights).
• Pay is based on 36 hours / week, dependent on experience & pension. Pay review pending
• Holidays: 7 weeks per annum (pro rata)
• Pension: NHS pension subject to eligibility or 8% SJH employer funded
