THE ROLE
Work as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, supporting clinical trials and healthcare teams by applying high quality approaches whilst adhering to deliverable timelines. Acting within a team environment and being responsible for the Machine Learning aspects of a project. Acting as a consultant to pharmaceutical or biotech companies. Excellent knowledge of different technical approaches and relevant clinical and healthcare data sources such as clinical data standards and observational data. Excellent team work ethos, proactive at managing workload and a willingness to help others and learn new skills from working in a team environment. Contribute to increasing the company profile, business generation and sales meetings. Potential to have lead responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Senior Machine Learning Engineer (minimum 5 years commercial experience)
  • Extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modelling, and software architecture.
  • Advanced proficiency with Python.
  • In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms.
  • Good understanding of ML models development and evaluation process.
  • Essential to have experience with ETL/ELT practices such profiling, cleansing, transforming, developing and documenting data
  • structures, schemas and dictionaries.
  • High proficiency in software development best practices.
  • MLOps/DevOps and CI/CD experience in a data science/machine learning settings, (e.g. Shell Scripting, Jenkins, Code Build, Testing)
  • High proficiency in automating serverless, event-driven pipelines using AWS Platform Services including but not limited to: S3,
  • Lambda, CloudWatch, Step Function, ECS, Dockers, Sagemaker.
  • Nice to have exposure to machine learning for NLP
  • Highly desirable to have pharma experience
  • Proficiency in version control in git, GitHub, BitBucket, or similar.
Qualifications:
  • Educated to PhD/Masters or Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computational biology, bioinformatics,mathematics, computer science or a related discipline
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with GCP and regulatory requirements
  • Experience of writing analysis plans
