Drilling Systems is currently looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer on a permanent contract.

The Role

Due to increased demand, we have a need for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of new features and upgrades for our successful Well Intervention product line. Working as part of a cross-functional team within the Software Development department, you will need to work closely with other developers, QA, and the Customer Support team, and maintain effective communication with Subject Matter Experts and Customers.

  • Requirements gathering. Turning contractual requirements and user stories into deliverables.
  • Development and testing of new features.
  • Resolution of issues from customers and from the product backlog.
  • Maintenance and improvement of product and technical documentation.
  • Working with other Senior and Lead Developers to constantly review and improve processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related subject: Software Engineering, Computing etc.
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience software engineering in C++ or C#

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodology
  • Atlassian toolset and workflow; Jira, Confluence
  • Source control and principles; SVN, Plastic, Bitbucket
  • DevOps; CI/CD/automated deployment

Salary: £50,000.00 per year
