It's an exciting time to be joining Seasalt! We're always challenging ourselves to think creatively and innovate and our next phase of growth will focus increasingly on opening international markets, as well as domestic expansion.

As our Stock Accountant within our expanding Finance team, you’ll ensure the accurate and timely reporting of our stock position, identifying opportunities to make controls more effective and enhance commercial results.

A great problem solver and influencer, you’ll be able to confidently represent the business with stakeholders (internal and external) and translate operational requirements into finance team tasks.

Please note, the successful candidate for this role will ideally be Cornwall based, however remote working could be considered.

You’ll help us by:

  • Proactively develop stock accounting and reconciliation processes to enhance control, align with policy and deliver process efficiencies, including: GPY and landed cost reconciliation
  • Managing month-end and BAU stock team processes to ensure accounting entries are complete and reflect the stock value across the business, including: stock provision, stock valuation, stock adjustments, stock write offs, returns write offs, valuation changes
  • Proactively business partnering and relationship building with commercial and operational teams, to embed stock management processes and behaviours and drive a greater understanding of stock movements
  • Collaborating with the stock management team to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Supporting with FX/Hedging requirement information provision and reporting
  • Assisting with understanding and delivery of internal and external audit requirements

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:

You’ll be a fully qualified or finalist accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience working within a Stock Accountant role, ideally within the retail sector.

Highly motivated, you’ll be capable of working independently and as part of a team with great coaching and management skills.

Resourceful and self-motivated, you’ll be able to manage multiple deliverables while showing accuracy and adherence to tight deadlines and controls around accounting.

You’ll have great communication and organisational skills, being able to question and think logically to flag any issues and problem solve.

Why we hope you’ll love working with us:

The success of Seasalt is down to the skill and hard work of our team. We don't just want to attract the best and brightest people to come and work with us, we want you to stay and grow with us.

From the moment your Seasalt journey begins, it's our pledge to support you by providing dedicated learning and development opportunities that will enhance your day-to-day working life and help you build your skills and knowledge.

So that you can fulfil your passion and purpose, not just at work but in life, we offer a range of benefits that are designed to enhance your career and wellbeing:

  • Salary of up to £50,000 dependant on experience (Band 3)
