Your new role

To manage a portfolio of clients each with a spend in excess of £1m per annum, understand the clients strategic goals and objectives by providing a consultative approach and demonstrating the value delivered.

You will need to be able to develop relationships at all levels and work with them to agree a business plan to ensure all spend is captured and customer satisfaction levels remain high.

Regular client review meetings will take place to review travel programme, SLAs, spend and to make strategic recommendations for saving opportunities and operating efficiencies.

Client retention and maximising margin is paramount and you will be responsible for tender avoidance activity and rebids.

The candidate must have ‘advanced’ understanding of Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel and PowerPoint. The role will require travel throughout the UK.

Must have outstanding organisational skills and have high levels of self-motivation.


Accountabilities

  • Plan and manage the relationship between the client and the business
  • Grow existing business by margin and spend
  • Ensure that the client has full awareness of the Clarity proposition and execution is in line with their strategies
  • Identify opportunities for ancillary spend and implement new products
  • Support the clarity preferred supplier programme
  • Identify, agree and measure clear client objectives and KPI’s in order to consistently demonstrate value
  • Liaise with all areas of the business to ensure consistent service delivery for clients
  • Identify any gaps in service delivery and work closely with the operations team to address and resolve to the clients satisfaction
  • Manage tenders and proposals working closely with the bid team
  • Have a clear focus on tender avoidance
  • Assist the sales team in new bids where required
  • Carry out any booker training sessions where required.




Prerequisite knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in analysing and manipulate large amounts of data
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build excellent customer relationships
  • Knowledge of the wider business travel industry including competitors
  • Experience in supplier negotiations
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • An excellent understanding of customer care
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • High levels of self-motivation
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, excel, word and powerpoint.
