Your New Role...

The Warner Bros. Global Sourcing (WBGS) is an internal consulting team, supporting and/or advising various departments (Marketing, Facilities, IT, Supply Chain, etc.) in finding, assessing and onboarding external partners. WBGS provides an important link between the firms’ internal departments and the external partners (suppliers), by matching the internal customers’ requirements with the capabilities of the marketplace.

The Global Sourcing department is always seeking to acquire the best quality of services for the relevant costs, whilst mitigating any potential risk linked with the acquisition of goods and services.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• Providing active support to the sourcing team members as part of the department’s activities
• Lead and assist in assigned sourcing projects (with support from the team).
• Act as an internal business consultant to help resolve sourcing related queries (finding a new supplier, locating invoice information, approving significant organisational spend).
• Conduct market research to support department projects.
• Onboard new suppliers for multiple business units including Warner Bros, CNN, and HBO
• Evaluate the data access suppliers will have and the risk they pose to the business
• Handle confidential information surrounding purchases, new suppliers, licenses, and scripts being purchased. Including contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Conflict of Interest Forms.
• Manage supplier relationships daily to ensure that deadlines are met for projects both within the Global Sourcing Team and companywide.
• Work with networks such as Social Enterprise UK and MSD UK to ensure that Warner Bros. Discovery is supporting small businesses and social enterprises and striving to increase supplier diversity.

Qualifications & Experience...

• You must be a recent or soon-to-be university graduate, having graduated no earlier than July 2021.
• Excellent communication.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint.
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Well organised & disciplined, with the ability to prioritise workloads & use time effectively.
• Highly self-motivated & work with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate with people confidently at all levels in a professional and mature manner.

The Internship...

• Salary: £26,000
• Contract Length: 12 months
• Start Date: Likely to be 14th August 2023
• You will gain hands-on experience working on business-critical projects.
• You will have access to personal and professional development courses, executive speakers’ series, special screenings and more.
• You will be part of our Early Talent network of over 100 interns & apprentices, meaning you will have an important support network of other students, graduates and apprentices and plenty of opportunities to socialise!
