What can I expect?
Your main place of work will be at Sense Centre in Dereham where you will support people to do lots of different activities. You will also support people when they do activities away from the resource centre. You will usually be supporting adults of working age, many of whom have complex needs and learning disabilities in addition to sensory impairments.
This role is a 12 month fixed term opportunity for 35 hours per week.
A motivated person to join our College team delivering specialist programmes to young adults at our college centre in Dereham. The successful applicants will work with young people who have dual or single sensory impairment, learning disability, and associated physical disabilities.
In this role you will be supporting people with a range of hearing and or/ sight difficulties within the Sense College. The people you support could also have complex needs and learning disabilities.

Hours of Work:
The College day starts at 9.15- 4.15, Monday to Friday. 45 Weeks of the year allowing 7 weeks set College closure throughout the year.

We have a broad range of activities and encourage the people we support to get out into the community and take part in it! Some of the things we do include: Educational courses, Vocational activities, Work placements, Lifeskills programmes, Therapies including Hydro Therapy to name just a few. We build a strong and mutually supportive relationship with families, carers. We are sensitive to the difficulties that some of our learners have with communication and mobility, and will continually strive to improve their lives and experiences. About Sense
