International FMCG business requires a Customs & Trade Compliance Manager. Applicants require trade compliance expertise, experience of importing and exporting, and have knowledge/exposure to bonded warehousing.

The Customs & Trade Compliance will work at regional level and be responsible for all importing/exporting, compliance, transportation and some storage activities.

The role would suit someone with a strong handle of international trade compliance processes/procedures and customs experience. A brownfield site, the Customs & Trade Compliance Manager will look to refine and develop structures and processes already in-place.

Specific duties of the Customs & Trade Compliance Manager include:

• Keeping abreast of and advising stakeholders of changes in international trade compliance regulations
• Developing export policies
• Preparing the organisation for audits
• Developing import/customs policies, including oversight of compliance at bonded warehouse locations

Customs & Trade Compliance Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Have a trade compliance or export control skillset
• Knowledge of customs processes/procedures
• Familiarity with HMRC and bonded warehousing
• Experience of dual-use or ITAR restricted products would be desirable
• Out-going and engaging personality
