TRAINEE ADVANCED CLINICAL PRACTIONER

We are looking to recruit Mental Health Professionals who are looking to advance their clinical practice and who are willing to embrace a three-year training program to become an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mental Health Professionals to join our services as a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner. This is a 3-year B7 training post, beginning September 2023, upon successful completion of the training you will become a B8a clinician.

For Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners, it is essential that you reach the criteria in the general Apprenticeship eligibility

As the successful applicant you will be a Registered Mental Health Professional with considerable clinical experience working in either Community Mental Health Services or Inpatients & Crisis services. As the trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner you will act as a professional resource for the multi-disciplinary team, patients, and carers within the scope of your practice and competence. In the trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner role you will understand professional accountability and legal frameworks for advanced practice and be professionally accountable and legally responsible for all aspects of your own work, whilst working within Organisational policy.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will be an active senior leader for the designated clinical area, offering leadership and guidance to the wider team and will be involved in service development work. You will provide clinical interventions and work closely with the team to give clinical direction and oversight, provide supervision and practice development opportunities for the community team.

3 posts working within the Community Mental Health Teams 1 x West Locality/ 1 x Mid Locality/ 1 x East Locality

In addition to this the Community Mental Health Division are offering 2 posts with special interest

1 – Adult Autism Spectrum Disorder

1 – Adult Mental Health with co-existing substance misuse problems (dual diagnosis)

  • 1 post Harvest ward
  • 1 post Cove ward
