Remote working opportunity but must be able to occasionally commute to hub office at Harwell Campus, Harwell OX11 0GD and other meetings/events across Oxfordshire.

An opportunity has arisen to join our strategy team as Visitor Economy Renaissance Programme Coordinator. The successful applicant will assist the successful delivery of the Visitor Economy Renaissance Programme, a £1.64 million programme of activity, led by OxLEP to assist the recovery of Oxfordshire’s visitor economy. The applicant will also provide efficient administrative support and coordination to the OxLEP strategy team, and where required, undertake additional wider economic development and strategy related activities.

We are looking for someone who ideally has economic development knowledge and/or significant experience of working in partnership with a range of partners both internal and external. Also, some experience of the effective delivery of actions, programmes, and plans.

This role is planned to be a part time, 20 hours per week (ideally over 3 or 4 days), fixed-term appointment through to the end of the Visitor Economy Renaissance Programme at the end of March 2024. We are open to discuss a potential secondment opportunity.

2*. JOB PURPOSE*

Provide efficient administrative support and coordination to the Visitor Economy

Renaissance Programme team, to ensure the effective delivery and monitoring of the outcomes of the programme and undertake additional wider economic development and strategy related activities where required.

3*. KEY RESULT AREAS/PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

3.1

Assist the preparation and delivery of the Visitor Economy Renaissance Programme and where required other OxLEP Economic Strategies and Plans such as the refreshed Oxfordshire Strategic Economic Plan.

Schedule and coordinate secretariat duties for the Visitor Economy Renaissance

Programme to support the team to meet their objectives.

Schedule and coordinate secretariat duties for the Culture and Visitor Economy

Subgroup and its smaller associated working groups, and where required other

OxLEP subgroups, providing administrative, research, and logistics support.

Provide research, coordinate gathering of economic intelligence as required to ensure effective delivery of programmes and where required enable bidding for future funding streams whilst being aware of national and regional landscapes.

Assist with the organisation of networking events, workshops, and business events.

Assist the communications, marketing and publicity activities of the team working closely with the OxLEP Communications Team.

Assist with the design and implementation of systems and processes for the programme including engagement with stakeholders and clients for analysis and monitoring purposes, supporting the reporting into the programme outputs.

3.3 Health & Safety

Qualifications and specific training

Essential criteria

· English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.

Desirable

· Educated to degree level or equivalent.

Experience

Essential criteria

· Demonstrable administrative experience.

· Demonstrable experience of reviewing, collating, and presenting data and information in writing and verbally.

· Significant experience of working in partnership with a range of partners both internal and external.

· Demonstrable relevant work-related experience in a similar role.

Desirable

· Project Management experience.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

· Significant awareness of the economic development landscape.

· Demonstrable experience of the effective delivery of actions, programmes and plans as directed.

· Demonstrable awareness of the sector in which OxLEP operates.

· Demonstrable understanding of the Visitor economy renaissance Programme and wider strategy work at OxLEP.

Demonstrable awareness of Project Management principles.

Additional requirements

· Ability and means to travel across Oxfordshire.
