We work with labs across the world to understand their specific workflows and needs, and develop personalised solutions that range from diagnostic, drug discovery to synthetic biology. This allows us to simplify common automation tasks, while also supporting more advanced paths for specialised workflows, in a fast, flexible, and cost-efficient way.

We are looking for a Visual Designer whose mission is to tell engaging stories by leveraging a strong understanding of the anatomy of our brand and the campaigns that should go along with it. You are capable of transforming concepts and ideas into strong visuals and implementing these into multi-media assets and campaigns.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Functioning primarily within the marketing team, create, ideate, develop and produce artwork and advertising, reflecting the identity and mission of Automata
  • Produce marketing collateral for such deliverables including amongst others: responsive website (desktop and mobile) designs, all sales collateral, event and exhibition materials as well as SWAG and general branded items for internal use.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal design team to ensure brand coherency and product consistency across all creative output
  • Lead cross functional design conversations to advocate for the importance of creative quality and consistency; be the creative and brand ambassador to marketing and sales team
  • Proactively identify emerging design trends, and contribute to robust internal creative conversations
  • Ideation of Brand-led campaigns

What it takes:

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in established design studios, branding agencies, or in-house graphic branding roles
  • An incredible portfolio, demonstrating a key understanding of the fundamentals of design as well as creative flair on top
  • A clear and confident communicator - with an ability to express complex ideas clearly and succinctly, while collaborating closely with teams outside of the Creative group
  • A clear and effective process for delivering creative
  • Ability to single handedly execute creative work, independently
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative suite and Figma is a must, any motion and animation, as well as 3D work a bonus
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing time and tasks with a proactive and future thinking nature
  • An innate curiosity in all things design

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with UI/UX work and component development is a plus
