USW Therapy at The University of South Wales is seeking to appoint an Administrator to contribute to the delivery and development of TalkingZone service and USW Therapy Services. In partnership with Newport City Council, TalkingZone provides counselling to children in Gwent schools, ensuring that those aged between three and 19 are given access to vital services, including counselling and psychotherapy, both face to face and online. USW Therapy Service offers a fee-paying counselling service for the local community, as well as ‘free at the point of delivery’ counselling in partnership with organisations, such as the MS Society Cymru.
Based at Newport Campus of the University of South Wales. The university is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. However, the successful candidate would be expected to work on campus for part of the week.
This role will suit someone who has excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills. You will be an effective communicator. Ideally, you would also be familiar with University/college administration settings. On the job Induction training will be provided.
This is a part-time post, (0.6 FTE, 22.2hrs), fixed term contracts.
The post and funding is split between 0.3 TalkingZone (School based counselling) and 0.3 USW Therapy Service.
The 0.3 role with Talking zone is funded by Newport City Council. The contract end date is 3rd September 2024, subject to a successful probationary period.
The 0.3 role with USW Therapy Service is funded through multiple external funding stream and is a fixed term contract for one year, subject to ongoing funding.
