Business Intelligence Analyst - Gaming

We are recruiting for a Business Intelligence Analyst/Data Analyst to sit within our Gaming Tribe. As BI Analyst, you will work alongside our commercial performance and marketing teams within Gaming to understand and explain performance, identify opportunities, and drive efficiencies across our brands.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine curiosity to understand customer’s gaming behaviours, a keen eye for detail and have the technical and logical skills to derive actionable insight from large datasets.

What you’ll do...

• Identifying key trends and helping form actionable insight on issues, opportunities and performance drivers using large datasets containing a wide range of commercial and customer level data.

• Working in a fast paced and ever changing environment, you will draw on your highly numerate background and analytical experience to provide in-depth analysis using SQL, Excel and Data Visualisation tools.

• Contribute to projects focusing on the revenue impacts of changes to products and processes in a fast-moving industry.

How you’ll do it:

• Working with stakeholders across the business to help identify and explain key performance trends through data analysis.

• Develop an understanding of our reporting suite, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and remove gaps in our understanding through changes/additions to our reporting.

• Build strong peer to peer relationships with key stakeholders in the areas that you are working on.

• Be able to prioritise and adapt to a fast-paced working environment, identifying the key information required in order to aid business decision making.

• Present findings to stakeholders with the appropriate level of detail, using effective communication to inform and influence decisions.

• Strong Excel and SQL query writing skills are essential, whilst experience in our existing (Business Objects, Power BI) or future (Big Query, Looker) tooling would be advantageous. Previous experience in report automation also highly desirable.

• And understanding of media channels, both digital and traditional, CRM and acquisition/promotion ROI calculations is also desirable.

• The business is currently undertaking a migration to Google Cloud Platforms and Looker, and therefore it would be highly advantageous to have experience in GCP, Big Query and Looker.
