Your part in our journey:
We’re looking for a personable and highly-organised brand operations specialist to oversee the projects and flow of work across our Brand and Marketing Communications team. You’ll manage the end-to-end process, starting with supporting the planning process, interrogating briefs, managing resource and work allocation, and then coordinating the delivery of work through the team all the way to approval.
You’ll have significant experience working with copywriters and designers, as well as cross-functional teams from Marketing to Product and beyond. Projects will be fast moving and have tight turnarounds, attention to detail and people skills are critical to your success.
Leading the development, optimisation and implementation of team processes, systems and tools you’ll make sure the team runs effectively and efficiently in a smooth and frictionless way.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be a calm, clear thinker who is driven to ‘make it happen’ at pace without compromising the quality of output. You will thrive in a fast paced environment, and have significant experience handling multiple stakeholders and differing requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Workflow management - manage the Brand and Marketing Communications team workflow and use of Jira, taking and interrogating briefs, consolidating and clarifying the requirements, allocating resources, managing outputs and ensuring brand standards and deadlines are always met
Prioritisation - review daily resource and workload schedules, manage new requests from various sources and prioritise all incoming work, finding clever solutions when things get really busy Process and tool optimisation - own, plan and implement optimisations to team processes, systems and tools to increase efficiency, consistency and performance
Reporting - establish reporting capability that allows us to monitor capacity levels across the team and make resource decisions based on data. Use new and existing tools to set and monitor team SLA KPIs and track quality of output, highlighting any upcoming peaks in resource requirements
Brand standards - advocate brand standards and governance across the team and wider business, making sure all brand and communications activities align with Shell Energy Brand Guidelines and the Shell Communications Brand and Visual Policy
Engagement and approvals - build relationships with relevant key Shell and Shell Energy stakeholders and manage team output through the Shell checkpoint brand compliance process to ensure consistency in brand visual identity
Brand merchandise - manage the creative development and production of physical merchandise by working with internal teams, agencies, suppliers and wider Shell stakeholders to fulfil business wide merchandise needs
What you will need to make the most of the role:
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a consumer-facing creative production environment either in-house or agency side
A clear thinker who is able to stay calm under pressure and bring clarity to the complex A real people person who develops meaningful and collaborative relationships Proven experience managing the workload of busy teams and understanding of when to say ‘no’ Working knowledge of resource and project management platforms and production schedules Experience of developing, implementing and optimising processes, systems and tools Ability to multitask and effectively manage workload prioritisation (for themselves and others) A pragmatic problem solver with project management background
Superior organisational skills and unparalleled attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage a range of stakeholders at a senior level
Ability to take feedback on board, offering and implementing solutions
