Blatchford is proud to deliver the prosthetic and orthotic service on behalf of the NHS at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield where we now have a great opportunity for a Clinic Assistant to join our experienced and highly specialist team to help us deliver this excellent patient driven service.
As Clinic Assistant, you'll support the orthotic team to help them ensure that our patients receive the best possible care by:
- Escorting patients between reception and clinical areas.
- Setting up clinic rooms and helping to get goods to clinic rooms ahead of each day
- Helping to manage the stock room and support Orthotists by retrieving and returning stock appropriately.
- Supporting collection of patient feedback and quality questionnaires
- Assisting in assessment if needed
- Chaperoning where needed
- Performing general admin and patient facing tasks as required.
- Booking appointments and deal with all day-to-day admin processes Providing general assistance to patients, providing excellent customer care and always demonstrating positive and professional behaviour
- Ensuring all paperwork is processed in accordance Blatchford and NHS systems as required.
- Assisting with all areas of administration and provide cover in these areas.
- Retrieving and returning patient files and other documentation as required
- Assisting with collating and recording clinical activity data for KPI and audit monitoring
To be effective as a Clinic Assistant, you'll need:
- Previous experience of providing an administration service in a customer facing setting, preferably in a health service environment
- The ability to prioritise and manage your own workflow
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to always deal sensitively and confidentially with patients
- Proven ability to work with others
- To be a dynamic individual who enjoys working with people of all ages
