Data Analyst – 12 months – rate open to negotiation – City of London (hybrid)

You will be expected to build an excellent knowledge of the companies data analytics tools along with a deep understanding of the supporting data structures.

The position involves understanding current data offerings and data sources, involving developing reports and dashboards, responding to urgent production issues and assisting other teams. Also, involvement in identifying improvements and planning their implementation; these could range from simple evolutionary improvements to existing processes and tools to the adoption of a whole new stack.

You will work closely with / guide, internal and external teams on best practice around providing data insights, dashboards, governance and provenance.

Experience Required:

• Experience of processes around the inspection, cleansing, transforming and modelling of data to derive useful, high value business insights.
• You will have experience of programming using SQL to manage data in a relational database environment along with knowledge of how to manipulate, process and extract data from disparate data resources.
• Experience of using BI Tools such as Yellowfin, Tableau, Quicksight will be crucial along with an ability to elicit requirements from stakeholders across the business.

Data Analyst – this role will be about getting unused data and building dashboards for a project, all about collecting data from insurers from policies that are in force, building dashboards for a client and for internal/external people. Also to look at the client data stuff from a Product point of view – as in what more can we do with it and could it be a product in its own right? Needs someone experienced and smart – someone used to dealing with visual tooling i.e. Yellowfin, experienced in building self service capability, building interactive dashboards, reports. SQL. AWS, Redshift – all would be helpful.
