The Commercial Data Science team within Peakon sits within the broader Engineering team. Our work predominantly focuses on aiding our customers in improving the value they derive from their data through running custom projects planned around their strategic objectives.
About the Role
We are looking for someone who has a strong desire to learn about the inner workings of a Data Science team, and wants to spend their time solving the challenges businesses face in improving employee experience. Key parts of the role will include the opportunity to:
- Apply and develop your knowledge of statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and the presentation of data to support our customers in maximising the strategic impact of their data
- Support customer facing teams (i.e. Customer success, Customer Support) in servicing technical customer data queries that require Data Science support
- Support quantitative analysis projects from start to finish as part of the broader Data Science team, including all aspects of data analysis (e.g. processing, cleaning, verifying the integrity of data used for analysis, statistical analysis, visualizations)
About You
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently studying a BS or MS in computer science, statistics, mathematics, operational research or related fields
- Knowledge of Python
- Comfortable with handling data
- Ideal candidate is available for a 10-12 month placement as part of their studies
