First Integrated Solutions have an opportunity for an experienced HGV Driver to join the team on a full time, permanent basis with our Aberdeen depot.

The successful candidate will hold a valid clean HGV License (Class 2) and hold extensive knowledge of Aberdeen City and the surrounding area(s). Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Road is preferred but not essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

This list does not represent an exhaustive list but indicates the main responsibilities the post holder will be required to undertake:

• Responsible for efficient delivery a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes.
• Responsible for preparation, inspection, security, and safe operation of the assigned delivery vehicle.
• Responsible for the securing of cargo.
• Responsible for reviewing orders before & after delivery/ collection to ensure that all orders are complete & that the client is satisfied.
• Responsible for ensuring delivery tickets are signed by customer on delivery of goods and returned of office for processing.
• Report any faults or issues with vehicles to Line Manager.
• Responsible for abiding by all transport laws & maintaining a safe driving record.
• Assist with Loading & unloading of vehicles, as necessary.
• Ensure that work area is safe to carry out activities as required.
• Assist with any other duties as and when required.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential;

• A valid, clean, HGV License (Class 2)
• Extensive knowledge of Aberdeen City and the surrounding area(s)
• Experience within a similar role

Preferred:

• Awareness of the requirements for transportation of hazardous goods
