Our Field teams are critical in the delivery of our contracts, whether that is delivering or supervising maintenance, installation, cabling or civils works. Help build and keep the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

Reporting and directed by the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for our Direct Labour teams who are deployed on our major programmes on behalf of our client, delivering fibre build projects or the network services agreement contract. Ensuring that we are implementing and deploying capabilities and resources to cost and to meet desired outcomes.

What you’ll do:

• You will be actively involved with driving a right first-time attitude across areas under your control and will focus on Safety as the number one priority, developing a safety culture plan aligned to all activity undertaken.
• Working collaboratively within the team you will be required to take the initiative and influence those around you to drive the success of our DL organisation. You will manage the end-to-end cycle of the workstack making sure that everything that is completed complies to standards and processes as set out.
• Responsible for identifying risks and issues that may affect people, product or financial performance and recording these on the appropriate risk & issue reports, whilst reporting and governing all works in progress across multiple trackers and systems

Key Deliverables:

• Manage the delivery of new access spine infrastructure at estimate level.
• Manage the deployment of the network build at PON level in line with spine infrastructure.
• Own the day-to-day operational workflow for the delivery of services and solutions to maximise productivity
• Drive continual improvements in all work disciplines and support the implementation of smarter more efficient ways of working where necessary
• Understand negative drivers for failed activity such as abortive visits and the cost of the failure and how this impacts the direct labour financial performance
  

Key requirements:

This role is very much active and supportive across all work disciplines you will ideally have the ability to cover a hybrid mix of delivery and project management skills

• Extensive knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry, Civils Engineering and Poling
• Knowledge of project or programmed delivery across all work types.
• NRSWA Supervisor course (Knowledge & experience) would be highly beneficial given the role is hybrid.
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Commercial Awareness – understanding revenue models, P&L, and cost-to-completion projections.
