Driver/Yard OperativeTo work under the direction of the Foreman and Branch Manager to support the successful operation of the business at Exeter.
Principle Duties
- Delivery & Collection of equipment to and from customer sites & / or other branches.
- Ensure that all deliveries and returns have accompanying paperwork.
- Ensure that loading / unloading instructions are carried out safely in line with the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
- Ensure that Risk Assessments, safe systems of work are fully complied with.
- Ensure that personal Protective equipment is worn at all times when working in the yard or on site.
- Ensure that tachograph charts are completed accurately and submitted on time, that daily checks are carried out and any defects reported to the Foreman/Manager (or designated member of staff) and the vehicle is kept in a tidy condition at all times.
Secondary Duties
- Where driver is on a Period of Availability (POA) for any length of time General operations duties will be carried out as required. These will include:
- Assisting Yard operatives with the assembly of outgoing loads.
- Assisting Yard Operatives with the counting in of returned loads.
- Carry out any reasonable requests made by the Foreman / Manager (or designated member of staff).
