Position Summary
As a Frontend Engineer you will be working as part of a highly-skilled and motivated team, building high-quality user interfaces using the latest browsers and technologies (no Safari or Internet Explorer). You will be working closely with backend, product, design & QA to make sure we are always delivering the optimal experience to our customers.
Our frontend is based around a micro-frontend architecture using React, TypeScript, TanStack Query & React Testing Library. In addition to our web clients we also have a Chrome extension. We have a shared component library which you will be contributing to, building everything from accessible form elements to insightful data visualizations. We have a DevOps culture and make heavy use of continuous deployment so you’ll be shipping your features to production as you complete them.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong foundational experience working with modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a commercial setting.
  • Previous experience with React.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable and well-tested code that follows best practices.
  • Great collaboration and communication skills.
  • A focus on the user with the ability to feed into the product design process.
  • Ability to work remotely effectively with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • We are using TypeScript so any previous experience would be beneficial but an interest in learning it is sufficient.
  • There may be opportunities to work on different parts of the stack, so if you have an interest in backend or cloud infrastructure then that would be welcome but it is not essential (we’re happy if you just want to work on the frontend all day).
