The role …

The role of Graduate Data Analyst is very important to us. This position sits in our exciting vehicle telematics business, as part of our Kinesis Operations team.

Kinesis is our fleet management service. Using satellite technology to communicate directly with the engine management systems of our customer vehicles, Kinesis shows live vehicle locations, journey history and highlights exactly how a customer’s vehicles are being driven to help manage their fleet. All this can be viewed through Velocity, our online management portal, which allows customers to manage all of their services with one single login.

In this role you will be responsible for analysing data from Kinesis, to identify trends in issues, faults and customer queries, and then collating it into meaningful feedback for our internal team in the form of management reports and visual dashboards.

We would love to welcome you to our Crewe office, working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.

What would your day to day look like?

• 
  Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns.
• Organising and transforming information into comprehensible structures.
• Using data to identify / predict trends.
• Performing statistical analysis of data.
• Using tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs. This can be with either Power BI or Tableau.
• Preparing reports and presenting these to management.
• Identifying and recommending new ways to save money by streamlining business processes
• Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data.
• Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.

What do we expect of you?

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in a finance, maths, data or similar subject.
• Exposure to data analysis techniques.
• Exposure to well-known data visualisation tools, e.g. Power BI or Tableau.
• Self-motivated, defining and implementing processes as appropriate.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible and able to cope with change.
• Delivers results with pace.
• Shows initiative.
