Delighted to partner with an innovative Manchester property development company to add a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to the team. With experience in commercial or residential construction, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Compiling tender packages including compiling bills of quantities
Provide cost, feasibility and quantity surveying advice to Project Managers
Assist in management and recording of variations and additional works, preparing monthly applications
Identify opportunities to maximise cost/value management
There will also be valuations, forecasting, budget control, estimating, change control and final accounts; reviewing, analysing and advising on tenders; managing costs to make sure that the initial budget isn’t exceeded.
You should be able to demonstrate:
Interesting and diverse project work (commercial units and residential);
The ability to control and monitor costs on construction projects
Knowledge and skills with using excel and all Microsoft software;
Experience of working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on both minor and major projects;
Two years’ experience in a similar role required, along with a relevant degree or HND.
