Job Description :

The Head of Planning Proposition leads on defining, shaping and leading the operation toward the operating model proposition. They have a twin focus of long-term development of the capability and offering of the Operational Planning team (through additional data, better systems, processes, engagement and alignment), and working across the OLT to provide strategic thinking and development for the cross-functional change agenda.

Your role will involve:

  • Ensuring the right strategy and structure of resourcing is in place across the operation to deliver service and significant structural efficiency in the future, including colleagues and the integration of supply partners.
  • Steering holistic long-term strategy and planning across the Operations Planning and broader Operations team, creating holistic, cohesive and aligned strategic direction.
  • Supporting OLT members in the creating and articulating strategic choices which have impact across the Operation.
  • Creating, owning and maintaining data, digital, automation and AI value strategies for Operations, and interface with Technology, Solutions, People and other functions to ensure the operational vision is incorporated.
  • Leading the creation and embedding of data, tools and culture to drive and enable planning, performance and resourcing proposition change.
  • Guiding and influencing matrix teams of operational colleagues to deliver resourcing and operating model change.
  • Protect the needs of Operational Planning through long-term capital and business change programmes, working across resourcing, planning, performance and systems to ensure a cohesive approach that delivers for the operation (e.g. Security programme).
  • Providing strong leadership, development and coaching to colleagues across the operation and developing a high performing planning proposition team.
