Our Buzzacott HR Consultancy is a dedicated team of approximately 4 HR professionals. We deliver a broad range of HR solutions tailored to the needs of our clients. The work is extremely varied as our clients come from all sectors including charity, NFP and corporate.

We are looking for a HR Consultant to join the team and assist with delivering commercially focused, practical HR solutions to clients of various sizes across a range of sectors.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Support clients on and off site to proactively manage their HR function on a day-to-day basis by providing clear, concise and compliant advice on a range of HR topics together with the provision of relevant supporting documentation.
  • Undertake HR audits and reviews for existing clients and new clients to determine their current HR risks and liabilities. At the same time, assess whether our clients could benefit from any other services the team and the wider business can offer.
  • Carry out specific projects for clients. These may include reviewing HR processes and statutory requirements, recruitment, grievances, disciplinary matters, TUPE and redundancy.
  • Assist with the marketing of the HR Consultancy service through various means including, but not limited to, presentation to internal teams, networking and the development and delivery of seminars or presentations. In addition, work with other members of the HR Consultancy team to develop proposals and tender documents as required.
  • Take responsibility for personal continuous development ensuring HR generalist and specialist knowledge is continuously improved upon.
  • Keep up to date with employment legislation and developments within the HR profession to enable you to provide technical support to clients, as and when required.
  • Produce written communication that is compliant with current employment legislation and HR best practice whilst remaining bespoke to the client’s requirements and culture.
  • Ensure that HR documents/templates are accurate and compliant with existing employment legislation.
  • Support the team with the ongoing strategic development though the identification of new business opportunities and new methodology in the delivery of the service.


You’re the right person for the role if you have:

  • Member of CIPD (or equivalent)
  • Experience of providing both verbal and written HR and employment law advice within the UK on a range of employment matters, including identifying options and the associated risks with each course of action
  • Experience of presenting technical HR information to a diverse audience in a practical manner
  • Experience of using HR systems e.g. Cezanne, SAP
