About the role

As a business we are transforming to be consumer focussed, performance led, simple and efficient. As part of the supporting P&C transformation, we are creating a Global Talent & Capability CoE. This involves significant Learning and Development transformation, as we develop a new Learning and Development Operating Model, new standard global processes, systems, tools and capability.

As the Global Learning and Development Projects Manager, you will work as a core member of the Learning and Development Leadership team and the wider P&C Transformation team. Working closely with multiple global stakeholders, you will bring talent acquisition experience, project management skills, and a consultancy/advisory mindset to ensure that Global L&D projects realise business benefits and are delivered on time and within budget.

Please note this is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity initially. We can be flexible on location for the right candidate.

Key accountabilities

  • Working closely with the Learning and Development team to scope and drive projects from initiation through to successful completion
  • Establishing Learning and Development project governance: charters, scope, tracking, measurement and reporting
  • Working collaboratively with business, P&C and L&D stakeholders to gather input, ensure buy-in and develop practical implementation plans, aligned to overarching milestones
  • Supporting project governance and project management tracking including preparation of project update/status reports for key governance or stakeholder meetings, including collating data and input from relevant sources in the wider teams
  • Key workstreams are likely to include a mix of L&D operating model work, systems, tools and processes, ways of working and driving implementation, change management and global standardisation
  • Helping to resolve key decisions, remove blockers and effectively manage interdependencies
  • Manage all reporting metrics activities and ensure alignment between L&D and the wider P&C Transformation team
  • Build and deliver an effective communications plan ensuring all relevant stakeholders receive regular informative updates regarding progress against defined goals and deliverables
  • Ensure ongoing collective and 1-1 stakeholder management across key business and leadership groups, including broader P&C teams

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Learning agility and excellent customer focused communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills, able to build relationships with key stakeholders across the business globally
  • Significant broad Talent & Learning transformation and project experience
  • Experience working in matrix teams with consultants
  • Experience Establishing L&D project governance: charters, scope, tracking, measurement, and reporting
  • Experience supporting project governance and project management tracking including preparation of project update/status reports for key governance or stakeholder meetings, including collating data and input from relevant sources in the wider teams
  • Experience of core L&D and Talent processes and practices

Desirable:

  • PMI or Prince2 PM qualification
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
