The Opportunity
Sitting within our Civil business, which is based globally, but with key centres in the UK and mainland Europe, an integral part of our people agenda is to have the right talent in the right place at the right time. To help us do this, we are seeking a new Learning & Development Trainer/Specialist to provide effective learning solutions to meet both individual and business objectives.Working with our global Centre of Excellence (L&D), who can provide a high level of delivery material, our new L&D Trainer/Specialist will bring enthusiasm and passion to help us deliver and evaluate development programmes and processes. Through this role, you will become a trusted 'people partner' - an enabling force who will help our people build and sustain their skills and expertise. You will also have the opportunity to manage and support talent-related projects aligned to our business strategy.

Regular travel to sites across the UK region will be required, and on occasion to sites in mainland Europe and the US. Our UK Civil sites are located in Solihull and Bristol (Bristol having three sites with the largest concentration of people). A small number of Civil staff are based at our Cowes site and we have Defence sites in Portsmouth and Luton.
How You'll Contribute

You will make an impact by:
Delivering high-quality Training and Development solutions to support the Civil Business Line Strategies

Work with the central Learning & Development team to manage the learning curriculum; ensuring relevant courses are coordinated in conjunction with HR Business Partners and Line Managers, and that training workshops are delivered at 'best value cost' in the region

Deliver development initiatives to staff, including training, coaching and supporting the uptake of online resources

Support succession planning and 'future leader' programmes

Essential:
Experience in learning needs analysis, training delivery and facilitation

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:
Coaching background or accreditation

Experience of working with external training providers and suppliers
