Month-end

• Ensuring revenue is posted to the corrected Business unit and investigate any exceptional items
• Manage the customer rebate accruals ensuring they’re reflected correctly in both P&L and Balance Sheet
• Preparing the SCC Flash P&L by tying together the performance of the various business units
• Managing revenue mis-postings into central cost centres and reposting
• Provide support to the wider finance team during month end

Post month-end

• Production of monthly supplier contract reporting analysis including narrative on current and forecasted issues
• Releasing orders from the margin queue where adequate support is provided
• Ad-hoc Management Accounting duties

Customer Profitability

• Reconciling and uploading granular cost data to enable accurate customer profitability reporting for the Services business units at SCC
• Ensuring that the automated rules relating to revenue reporting (primarily based on activity-based costing) are functioning correctly by working closely with the TM1 projects team
• Liaising closely with the Service Delivery Managers and tracking customer profitability trends
• Providing explanations for increases or decreases in customer profitability for a given set of customers by drilling down into revenue and cost data at customer level
• Further development of the customer profitability process to ensure that the changing nature of revenue and costs are considered when applying customer profitability allocation
• Liaising with stakeholders within IT Projects team

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Very strong Excel and reconciliation skills
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping surrounding stock
• Part-Qualified / QBE accountant
• Strong analytical skills - ability to analyse large data sets
• Ability to analyse and document processes and to work with senior operational management on process improvements
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate financial information to non-finance personnel
• Demonstrated history of delivering to tight deadlines
