Job Description


The Associate Consultant is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required to support new and ongoing consulting projects:

Market Research

  • ProAV market coverage – Tracks the ProAV industry, products/services, vertical markets, and vendors on a regular cadence to support various consulting projects
  • Primary research – Supports on interviews with key industry contacts; attends shows; uses interviews to offer opinion and insight on market developments
  • Secondary research – Using a range of secondary sources to support primary research, including – the internet, trade journals, in-house research, trade associations, public reports, financial releases, company press releases
  • Forecasting – Uses primary and secondary research to support on generate market projections
  • Written analysis – Provide qualitative analysis to support and justify data
  • Collaborates with Omdia Analysts and Consulting & Custom Solutions Director/Principal Consultant

Project Delivery

  • Leads smaller custom research deliverables and contributes to larger ones; delivers projects to client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to project delivery through the completion of project activity under the guidance of the Principal Consultant or Senior Consultant.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise of the industry markers
  • Develop project management skills – awareness of budget, timeline and programme delivery management

Bid Management

  • Support the Consulting & Custom Solutions Director/Principal Consultant, to contribute towards strengthening existing and develop new business, focusing on simple solution bids

Business Development

  • Contribute to the development of a compelling consulting proposition that builds on Informa Tech’s reputation as a “industry thought leader”
  • Start to make connections internally and with clients to support the evolution and delivery of the marketing services proposition
  • Working within the Consulting & Custom Solutions consulting teams to implement the Group and the Market Pillar growth strategy

Qualifications


Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a consultant, analyst, or researcher focusing on IT or consumer technology products
  • Possess a basic understanding of relevant industry dynamics and trends
  • Candidates with prior experiences in professional audio, content management hardware & software, and AV over IP will be given a priority
  • Project management experience and expertise preferable
  • Proficient in designing, implementing, and interpreting data structures in Excel and macro functions
