We are currently recruiting for National Account Manager to join our Commercial Team. The role will see the post holder working a field based role with travel throughout the UK.

Job Purpose

To manage, nurture and lead key customer groups at both head office and regional office levels, to ensure our own and our customer’s maximum potential are reached. Ensuring all trading administration is in order, making it easier for our direct customers to trade and field sales colleagues thrive. Supported by strong sales skills and commercial acumen to lead on National Sales Opportunities and supporting with tender negotiations as required.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


  • You will hold responsibility for the national budgets of assigned customers
  • You will be the key contact for assigned customers
  • You will hold & manage customer strategy and development plans.
  • Develop trading relationships with National Account customers to promote customer loyalty.
  • You will work with and support all field sales, marketing, and other teams to successfully deliver on cross business objectives as well as leading through influence to cultivate strong relationships with our regional teams and our customers at branch level.
  • Manage existing agreements and ensure consistent long-term relations are maintained.
  • Develop mix of products within each accounts spend profile with the assistance of the ASM, BDM and PSM functions.
  • Take an active part in providing statistical reporting both internally and externally to enable review and planning.
  • Attend industry and customer events to foster stronger relationships and act as Knauf brand ambassador
  • Ability to travel across the UK to meet with customers including overnight engagements and events
  • You are required to follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others
  • Contribute to Knauf’s sustainability strategy of People, Planet, Prosperity.
  • Anything else commensurate to complete your role

Requirements:

  • Honed relationship management skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office to a high standard.
  • Highly numerate and literate.
  • Commercial Acumen
  • Ability to use structured problem-solving skills.
