What Is The Role of an Operations Business Analyst?

The Operations Business Analyst would be part of the Cash Management Team, and responsible for the provision of MI for multiple regions, having constant collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurate provision of MI on a Daily, Monthly, quarterly, and annual frequency to allow internal stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Monitoring the performance of multiple regions through KPI/scorecard creation and upkeep. Providing insight in main business drivers and areas of failure. Regular meetings with internal stakeholders and other team members.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable with MS Excel, have an aptitude to learn various internal systems, excellent analytical/logical skills with an ability to analyse data.

What Will I Be Doing as an Operations Business Analyst?

  • Gather data via MS Access/various local systems/local Excel spreadsheets/Internal stakeholders.
  • Create tables/reports using MS Excel.
  • Analyse and derive conclusions and represent them graphically in formats to present to internal stakeholders.
  • Study trends and identify issues or best practices.
  • Perform regular weekly/Monthly KPI reports, analyse data daily, Hold regular meetings with Team members/internal stakeholders.
  • Cross functional collaboration with other departments, from Finance, field engineering, security etc.
  • Develop scorecards and KPI’s to enable management to reach sound business decisions informed by accurate and reliable data.
  • Creation of presentations to be used to inform the wider business of the department’s performance.
  • Mapping of processes using MS Visio.
  • Cover various ER cases in the forms of Disciplinaries, appeals etc. as either Chair or Note taker.
  • Ability to stand in and cover for other senior team members (Chair calls, present to other departments etc.)

What Would I need to succeed in the Operations Business Analyst role?

  • MS Excel to an intermediate/advance level is a must.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint & Visio.
  • SQL scripting would be a bonus for use in MS Access.
  • Capable of analysing data is a must.
  • Capable of communicating effectively with other team member and stakeholders.
