Job Introduction

As a Project Manager on the BBC Studios Learning Team this individual will be responsible for contributing to our annual sales goals by helping project manage the Learning Team’s pipeline of jobs, as well as, completing research projects from a variety of clients in the education marketplace.

This individual must work well in a team situation and be extremely flexible as the nature and scope of this job requires multitasking and meeting deadlines on a daily basis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage budgets, timelines and goal expectations of clients and internal stakeholders
  • Help manage priorities of existing team members in the areas of client research including researching content in multiple databases, rights clearing content, and submitting researched options to clients in a timely fashion
  • Act as a critical member of the Learning team responsible for content research, rights clearing and management of communication with clients regarding their needs and timelines of deliverables for multiple clients
  • Build personal knowledge to establish a comprehensive understanding of client objectives + associated technology platforms as well as deep knowledge of the BBC Archives to manage client and internal stakeholders needs
  • Work closely with the Learning team management to ensure client deadlines and expectations are being met
  • Handle a variety of projects with competing deadlines and time demands
  • Maintain clear project & scheduling documentation
  • Manage the cadence of internal and external meetings as well as being responsible for delivering to the team important meeting recaps to ensure next steps are clearly captured.
  • Help maintain the Media Asset Management system by adding/removing content as needed, tagging content with proper metadata and ensuring the content is catalogued in a well-organized manner
  • Work with the Director and Finance teams to help keep track of royalties earned, invoicing, payment schedules, etc. and ensure that all associated details are being recorded appropriately
  • Responsible for producing invoices through SPS for all processed jobs
  • Use internal systems and databases to pull reports on sales and content licenses
Are you the right candidate?
  • Passion for Communications, Film and Television, and Marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use and edit with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier Pro editing as well as Adobe Photoshop software
  • Organizational, data entry and spreadsheet skills in Excel and Filemaker Pro customer databases a plus
  • Research experience is a plus
