Job Description :

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to work on our large Landlord contract responsible for a portfolio of commercial and retail properties in the West End of London & The City delivering Hard Services Maintenance.

The Operations Manager will lead a team that consists of a Contracts Manager, Supervisors and their associated teams and all aspects of Building maintenance - Mechanical, Electrical and Building Fabric

You will have Management, Full accountability, responsibility and ownership of the service delivery to the portfolio. Providing line management to Contract Managers & Administration whilst maintaining a proactive customer interface to ensure a high standard of both service delivery and customer care. Implement plans and actions through your leadership skill to all direct reports, for the profitable operation and growth of contractual business within NGB FS through the provision of high quality service to our customers.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Lead the team in provision of excellent service delivery by monitoring service performance, taking corrective action when necessary and escalating to the Account Director as appropriate.
  • Effective co-ordination of available resources to achieve implementation of standard contract management plans across the business unit
  • Contribute to the preparation of portfolio Business Plans and Budgets based on Company objectives and maintain overall responsibility for the successful budgeting against agreed P&L.
  • Support the achievement of budgeted revenue and margin targets for the business unit, inclusive of any margin improvement initiatives
  • Support the delivery of Compliance Policy and statutory requirements across the business unit in accordance with NGB requirements
  • Monitor and ensure all corrective actions arising from Health and Safety audits are implemented within agreed timescales for the business unit, ensure all prescribed H&S systems, process and procedures are being utilised as intended by the business
  • Ensure that all engineers are trained and competent to carry out their role and there are adequate Authorised Persons available to operate the sites
  • Develop and maintain technical and regulatory standards and requirements for maintenance & project design by the constant updating and implementation of effective processes policies and procedures throughout the company
  • Ensure use / implementation of the business unit / client CAFM systems and ensure data integrity retained
Requirements

You will have:
  • Experience of delivering exceptional operational delivery by self and through others
  • Experience in the management of staff and subcontractors
  • Track record of success in supporting major business contracts, or operational management of a Business Unit or region and/or providing support to a professional function
  • Likely to have in excess of 10 years managerial and/or technical experience.
  • Excellent communication
  • Good IT skills
