About the programme;

Our scheme runs for two years and will give graduates the foundations to succeed in the marketing and commercial functions, with placements in associated departments across the course of the programme. You’ll go on a rigorous development programme to give you the skillsets to succeed in these areas, whilst also developing the skills and ability to become a future leader at DS Smith.

You’ll be paired up with a mentor and will be given first class training from our external partner to develop leadership capabilities and be given on the job opportunities to put everything you’ve learned into practice.

Within Marketing, you’ll work with a team of professionals to promote DS Smith services, showcasing our work with national and international customers to drive profitable growth. You’ll ensure the customer is at the heart of our marketing activity, using competitor, shopper and retailer insights to create content that engages customers, attracts new prospects, and guides our future direction. You’ll support a wide range of marketing projects, such as creating video content, researching and writing white papers, and managing our response to competitive pitches and tenders. You’ll be working with our Sales, Marketing and Innovation team to maximise customer experience, to ensure DS Smith are the partner of choice. You will explore the art of the possible, maximising opportunities for our customers to deliver on their packaging requirements.

Alongside the role-specific skills you’ll develop, you will be part of a large cohort of cross functional graduates from across the business, who you will develop your careers alongside, and can provide a community and support network where you can share development experiences.

From there, you’ll be given the tools to lead the way, whether that’s in becoming a specialist in your chosen field or leading others to succeed.
