Selsdon Dental Surgery is warm and welcoming family surgery. Established well over 30 years ago, we are committed to providing consistent, quality dentistry to our patients.

Ideal candidates for this position have experience working in a dental surgery or similar setting or role, can multi-task effectively, and enjoy working with people. We're looking for professionals who are highly proficient in answering phones and speaking with patients, and are able to provide friendly and compassionate customer service while performing administrative duties. The successful candidates will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have an understanding of dental terminology and regulations related to dentistry, and enjoy working as part of a team. We're interested in hiring candidates who have an eye for detail and can multi-task effectively while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude towards all our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Answer the phone, schedule appointments, and greet patients
• Make copies of patient records and medical information
• Direct calls and messages to the correct person
• Pass on messages to patients, dentists, and other appropriate staff
• Provide basic dental information to patients
• Work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Willing to learn and take instructions and implement these effectively
• Being extremely organised and display a tidy way of working
• Answer simple questions about dentistry during regular business hours
• Use own initiative to perform at a very high level and provide high quality work
• Go over and above to provide each and every patient with a high level of service
• Display a positive 'can-do' attitude
• Ensure the reception area and general areas of use are kept clean and tidy at all times
• Present themselves extremely professionally and immaculately. Always being smartly dressed with clean and neat hair, nails, appropriate footwear and jewellery
• Understand their role and remit very clearly

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: From £11.00 per hour
