We are looking for an enthusiastic Manufacturing and Engineering DBU Placement Student to join our team specializing in design and development for our product tailoring and development team in Wellingborough. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Collaborating with internal teams within DBU Europe to determine customer requirements
- Innovatively creating tailored solutions for engineering Options / Bill of Materials For Engine products in line with the customer’s expectations
- Using modelling software to control design and release engineering option changes
- Creation of Customer Specific products in line with development guidelines
- Document management and liaison with Purchasing to ensure fulfilment of orders
- Exposure to wider business areas across different Cummins facilities with additional learning and development opportunities
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Working towards a degree in a mechanical or electrical engineering related area
- Strong and driven with an interest in Internal Combustion Engines & new technology
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within Cummins Global teams
- Previous experience working with design or modelling software would also be beneficial
