King's Oak Primary School Governing Body is looking for a co-opted governor, with an HR background to join them. King's Oak is a very friend Primary school situated on the borders of New Malden and Kingston-upon-Thames for children aged 2-11. It also has a specialist unit for children with autism. This is a voluntary role and your commitment would be for two meetings each half term and a monitoring visit to the school each term. Meetings take place on Thursdays between 6.30pm-8.30pm at the school, although there is the possibility to join virtually. All governors take on a monitoring role and we are specifically looking for someone with an HR background to replace our HR governor whose term is finishing at the end of March 2023. We also need someone with health, safety and wellbeing experience.
Whatever your skills, if you are interested in becoming a primary school governor, please contact me for further discussion of this very worthwhile volunteering opportunity. Full training will be given and no previous experience as a school governor is required.
