About the team

Operate Digital is the central function that creates and runs technology. We also transform the way our clients use technology in delivering assets to our clients across a wide range of business processes. Working with industry leading, alliance partners across architecture, development, and multiple other technologies, we interact with all technology platforms and provide tangible technology delivery at scale.

Skills and experience

  • Extensive depth of demonstrable experience in UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate and Mendix.

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering and deploying automation projects from ideation to production including technical documentation and project scoping.

  • Extensive client facing interactions and third party stakeholder management experience.

  • Extensive experience of leading and managing a team on a day to day basis, coaching and support team members.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrable record of presenting technical details to a non-technical audience

  • Demonstrable client facing experience, ideally in a consulting environment or similar.

  • Commercial and wider view mindset

Role description and responsibilities

These roles are part of an internal delivery team, and a new practice. We work closely with the consultancy and advisory teams to provide our in-depth knowledge and expertise within our specialised areas to allow clients to realise the ability to achieve their goals. We take the lead on delivering the clients assignments managing the day to day plans, build and implementation working in conjunction with the consulting teams and directly with clients.

As Automation Manager your responsibilities will include;

  • Collaborating with Business Analysts, Project Managers, RPA Developers and Clients to evaluate processes and make recommendations with regard to their potential and suitability for automation and to innovate within the automation space.

  • Liaising with clients directly around RPA projects and acts as a point of technical contact through the project life cycle, build, test and live implementation.Assessment and scoping of RPA projects and creation of relevant technical documentation.

  • Handover and deployment of RPA solutions to clients, internal teams and services.

  • Apply the practices and principles of Agile and Continuous Improvement to maximise business value and customer experience

  • Lead the investigation and detailed analysis of RPA incidents and process exceptions including a strategic approach to root cause analysis (primarily during Hypercare period)

  • Identifying opportunities for development of reusable components / custom libraries to enable rapid development and support standardisation.

  • Being aware of the risk and security factors that need to be considered when designing and developing solutions.

  • Technical leadership and mentoring, providing technical guidance, support and assistance to more junior members of the team. Responsibilities include, building a team, coaching, resource management and nurturing team members
